Second, does anyone else ever pay attention to the background of TV shows & movies, specifically, the interior design elements of the set? I can't help but notice them all the time. Sometimes to the point where it distracts me from the actual show (thank goodness for DVR).
I was re-watching the last episode during my lunch break (on Hulu, not HuluPlus, 'cause I'm too cheap for that) and I couldn't get enough of the curtains! Is that weird? In any case, I took some crappy screenshot pics with my iPhone because I loved them sooo much.
You can't really tell, but these are dark brown (seen in Ava's office). I lurrrve that geometric pattern. I've been scouring all the home goods websites I can think of (Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, Ikea, Anthro, Urban Outfitters) but still can't find them. I found some Waverly fabric that was close, but do I have time to make 84" curtain panels? Nope.
These are Ikea curtains that I have loved for a while now. Neutral colors make a bold print totally do-able. I'd love them in my living room, but $60/pair is a little steep for my budget. We'd need 6 panels total for our giant windows. Sigh. I guess I'm stuck with my Overstock.com curtains for now.
I salute you Up All Night design team.
That decorator fabric store in the Morgantown Mall -- Interior Alternative -- is moving to another location in M-town now that the mall is closing. Good prices on dec fabric if you want to make them. (MT)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these curtains also. I think decorative curtains make or break a room -- I've been on the hunt for some cute ones myself!

I love this post because I did exactly the same thing last week! I kept having my husband pause it so I could see different elements of the house... and those neutral curtains are my fave!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I was watching last week and thinking I really loved those second curtains! I've been looking for something for our living room and when I saw these I thought they were perfect! I actually just googled "up all night" curtains and found this post! I was trying to figure out where they were from and if I'd be able to afford them! Kinda steep for our budget but I think they may be worth it!
ReplyDeleteI just goggled curtains on "Up All Night." Thanks for the leg work. I adore the ones from Ikea. Modern Family is another great set with designer curtains.
ReplyDeleteJust like Anna, I Googled "Up All Night Curtains" and found this post. I've been scouring every store and Etsy for curtains like Ava has in her office on the show. Has anyone found a good source, yet? I'm desperate!
ReplyDeleteJust like Anna I also Googled "Up All Night curtains" and found this post. I've been searching every store and Etsy for curtains like Ava has in her office on the show. Has anybody found a good source yet? I'm desperate!
ReplyDeleteRaise your hand if you googled up all night curtains. Meeeee! Thanks for this post. $60 per pair is NOT that bad. I made my own curtains for a small living room for about $300 using about 6 panels @ $24 per yard, and later saw someone on etsy selling them for $200 PER PANEL. So Ikeas price is cheaper than making it your self. I will buy these for a closet curtain instead of doors.
ReplyDeleteGood news and bad news.
ReplyDeleteGood news is I found them - here is the link
http://www.drapestyle.com/imperial-trellis-custom-drapery.html
Bad news - they are on sale for $243 per panel!
As a fyi to help search for an alternative - the pattern is called
quatrefoil.
Good luck!
There are sort of similar, and slightly better priced at $179 per 84" panel - http://www.ballarddesigns.com/firenze-embroidered-panel/panels-draperies/window-treatments/13960

ReplyDeletethis website has great patterns. u might find the dark brown curtain there. or similar. but im a fan of the ikea ones. to save cost i paired them with cheaper solid dark brown panels so i dont have to buy so many.
